Buyers have snapped up half of Legacy West condo project in Plano

Developers who are working on the first high-rise condominium project in Plano say they’ve already presold half of the planned building.

The 24-story Windrose Tower is planned as part of the $2 billion Legacy West project on the Dallas North Tollway at State Highway 121.

The condo tower is just blocks away from where Toyota Motor is building its new North American headquarters.

And it’s next door to the 4,000-employee campus that was just started for Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Liberty Mutual Insurance’s huge Plano project starts next week

Plano has become ground zero for big project groundbreakings.

A week from today, Liberty Mutual Insurance will formally kick off it’s almost 1 million square-foot office campus near the southwest corner of the Dallas North Tollway and State Highway 121.

The two 19-story towers will eventually house more than 4,000 of the Boston-based insurance company’s workers.

Deal finalized for new global headquarters of Toyota Group spinoff

A real estate deal to bring the new global headquarters of a Toyota Group spinoff — Toyota Industries Commercial Finance Inc. — to Dallas has become finalized, officially following in the footsteps of sister company Toyota North America.

Torrance, California-based Toyota North America is building a new corporate campus in Plano to consolidate its North American operations under one roof.

Gaedeke Group readies to break ground on Legacy West office tower

Shortly after unveiling the design of its new Legacy West office tower, Dallas-based Gaedeke Group plans to break ground on the 14-story, 327,856-square-foot building, which is the first of a two-building office complex.

The complex will sit next to the headquarters of FedEx Office and Toyota North America upon completion of the two campuses. Liberty Mutual Insurance also will have a large regional hub near the new building.

J.P. Morgan Chase whittles down DFW search for new home for 6,000 employees

Banking and financial services company J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. could be closer to making a decision on its real estate search for a new Dallas-Fort Worth home for 6,000 of its North Texas employees.

The firm has narrowed down the options to the north end of the Dallas North Tollway at the $2 billion Legacy West development and other corporate options along Frisco’s $5 Billion Mile, according to real estate sources close to the deal. J.P. Morgan Chase (NYSE: JPM) is expected to select a location in the next few weeks, they said.

Top restaurant operators are flocking to Plano’s new Legacy West development

Not just Toyota and Liberty Mutual Insurance are moving to the new Legacy West development in Plano.

Some of the country’s top restaurant operators are heading to the $2 billion Collin County development, too.

Karahan Cos. – which also developed the successful Shops at Legacy retail center in West Plano – has already signed leases with a more than a half dozen big name restaurants for Legacy West.

Toyota effect: Developers rush to start offices in West Plano and Frisco

One of the last empty corners in Legacy business park on the Dallas North Tollway is attracting development plans.

Stream Realty Partners is gearing up to build a 12-story office tower at the southwest corner of Tennyson Parkway and the tollway.

The company’s Platinum Tower will be next door to a five-story building Stream is constructing.

Liberty Mutual confirms it’s bringing 5,000 jobs to Plano

After months of speculation, Boston-basedLiberty Mutual confirms its is bringing up to 5,000 jobs to a new campus at Plano’s $2 billion Legacy West development by 2017.

The employees will be consolidated from other parts of the country into LibertyMutual’s new Plano campus, which was recently identified as one of six hubs for the insurance company as it seeks to better serve its domestic insurance clients.
