Why developers are going ‘pure spec’ in Frisco’s $5B Mile

As Frisco’s ‘$5 Billion Mile’ begins to take shape in the one mile stretch of roadway off the Dallas North Tollway, the Dallas Business Journal held a Corridors of Opportunity event focused on the 549 acres slated for high-end development.

The event Tuesday morning brought in more than 660 North Texas executives and professionals looking to learn more on the projects behind the $5.4 billion of real estate investment.

Latest plans: Toyota doubles size of Plano headquarters campus

Toyota Motor Co. is adding more horsepower to its new office campus in Plano.

After months of speculation, plans filed with the City of Plano show that the automaker’s new North American headquarters will be about twice the size originally proposed.

A revised site plan released by the Plano planning and zoning commission shows that the headquarters complex in West Plano has grown to more than 2.1 million square feet.

Invesco Purchases Nearly 1,700 Apartments in the Legacy Town Center Development

Investors have made one of the largest buys ever of high-end North Texas apartments.

The apartments, located east of the Dallas North Tollway and north of Legacy Drive, were sold by a partnership of builder Columbus Realty and GE Asset Management.

Built between 2007 and 2012, the apartments are just north of the popular Shops at Legacy retail and restaurant project. Jeff Price, Bill Simmons and Jorg Mast  marketed the apartments for sale.
